Keeping Beer In Mind....

Let us not drift far from the golden path, and if you do and end up in croatia here are a few local guides I suggest you use to help find your way back on it. This green number actualy comes from Solvenia but is worthy on a place on all balken tables,a nice froffy lager that is best served in big gulpes and taken with some local pickles and durries.
Another fine Lager brewed in Zagreb and probably the most common brand I encountered thruout Croatia. I suggest the bottles if your drinking on the streets as it can be used as a weapon and also if you leave it on the street it provides revenue for the less fortunate as you get a refund for the bottle,as for the can I did not see any sort of recycle facilities.

No its not bread and not related to the peter we all know. But yes its beer, from a very old brewery somewhere in Croatia{forgot where exactly} But tasty all the same. Remember to drink cold and cost around 1 pound per liter.

For the lovers of a good dark this was the only one I saw and quite lucky really as the taste was

great, smooth but must be cold. On only on my 3rd when i stood up and my knees nearly gave way did i check the label and see the healthy 8.5 per cent alcohol level. nuff said.
Brewed also in Zagreb and more difficult to find.

Well hope you keep the beer in mind and no matter what if consummed correctly the above should end up the result. These were a just a sample of many beers found in Croatia and although i tried a few more the camera wasn't always handy, thou they were all drinkable.
Enjoy.
