THIS MUST STOP!!!!!!

How come the people that start war
Dont fight the war?
How come the the people that are killed in war
Have nothing to do with the reason for war?
How is it that we as people sit here
And do nothing to stop it?
What can I do?
When will it stop?
Do I ignore it?
Or pretend it isnt out there?
I feel so fucken useless....
Help ...
I dont know what to do...
Crying doesnt seem to help.
I now say this out LOUD..
Because I dont know what else to do?
Help...

the greatest fun for some folk is to throw stones, no matter the target..

should those folk find themselves the target of the tiniest pebble watch for the reaction, for it is bound to be far greater that the loudest cry from the weakest soul.

we can do something, it is a choice of action and the bravery of the individual to lead by example.

For those of us in the working class who have the vision to see beyond the blinkers, who chose to learn from the past, we must find the avenues available to us to provide help. In other likeminded people we trust to carry out actions we may not be able to perform but surely support.

thankfully there are organisations which we support but it is a mere fraction of the aid required..

I could go in for hours.. with thoughts, but as you say. what can we do..

as for helping you... one of many you are and the risk for others needs to be rewarded by the currency most valued by the one helping.. a smile, a meal, a bag of gold.. help is the decision of others..

It is a bizarre thing to say, but the world is becoming more peaceful.

Violence was a way of daily life, from cavemen to vikings to the dark ages to the continuous succession of modern day war.

Today, peace reigns right in everyday law. It is obviously broken but for the first time in history, the global village is aware of right & wrong.

Today, the disorganised gorilla independance West Papua resistance met in Medang in PNG to join together as one. They are now going to fight for their freedom from Indonesia through dialogue and not violence, their focus will be the human rights issues they endure. Of course, if the Indonesians attack, they will defend, but for once, similar to the Dalai Lama, peaceful protests are the way forward. I hope they win.

Listen to them Israel. Hear them Islam. Stop being so bloody greedy US.

Take up arms, Brother Borgus. Thats about all you can do. War is inevitable. Greed is inevitable. Humans by nature are self-destructive. We claim to be the higher beings on this planet, but in reality we are just like the ants. Definately no better. What sets us apart (aparently) is that we have the ability to empathise with our fellow beings...
But there sure as shit isn't much of that going on.

I believe History should be one of the most important classes at school - because the ignorant will have to learn from their own pain and the enlightened will know that if you touch the stove, you will get burned. the history has shown that no superpower nor empire is forever. look what has happened to the AMASING Greek and Roman civilisation afer they became too arrogant and too greedy and too righteous and dogmatic about their culture. And what about the 10,000 years (!!, not 2K but 10K..) of the Egyptian civilisation and the cradle of civilisation at the Tigris and Euphrates (right where Iraq and Iran are now....) - they too had very lasting civilisations but their people's arrogance led to the demise of such amasing cultures (one only has to hang out in Egypt today to see that...)
If the US continues wit its zealous and selfrighteous quest to force right-wing Christian views on to the rest of the world, there will always be hatred between the various groups of people. I think we can fight that by being accepting, loving and informed people and by teaching our children about sustainability, acceptance of different ways of living and thinking and building as opposed to destroying.
As long as US finances Israel - there will NEVER be peace in Middle East. As long as the US assumes that humans are essentially flawed and they need a set of (Christian religious) rules to be 'good' people there will never be peace in this world...
So, we need to help the American people to hear and know the truth so that can get rid of that asshole of a President! Any ideas?

I wish I knew. I honestly thought Bush was going down the last election but he used FEAR and IGNORANCE to secure another term.

Education is the answer but the question of how remains.

Michael Moore and many many famous singers/bands have tried and failed.

A charismatic strong leader must rise to take control but I worry that there isnt one coming through the ranks.

Anyone else got a thought?

Could it be that man was just an experiment. That failed. ????

To reduce ignorance use education
To reduce fear use education
To promote understanding use education
To promote health and wellbeing use education
To reduce the welfare society use education
To promote sustainable living use education
Education is the key
But who teaches us?
There's a mix of partenal guidance, childminding, teaching staff, spiritual leaders, friends, family, TV (selectively), documentaries, reading, living etc.. all over many years.

Individuals must take the lessons learned and make their own actions.
The sad part is that education in the hands of the wrong teacher can be used at times much more efficiently for the wrong reasons..

There in lies the qustion to the teaching.. who has the right answer?

Maslow's Hierarchy has quite a few stages a person will pass through before reaching a point of self fulfillment. This leaves alot of ones life open for learning.

Give the people food and shelter and they will follow.
Give them security and they will follow.
Give them a sense of belonging, recognize them and you have them.
The question is which of them will step out and be challanged to think and to explore and will they be accepted as leaders or outcast as disadents?
The "leaders" calming the fear, (which they well could have started) in their tribe have the power.
Does the recycling message work? Think globally act locally...

Anyone for a political movement?

I'm in for a political bowel movement. But first of all we need to flush the toilet, and clean the bowl. Then we can start again.
