Qld Victory Party

Forget the World Cup, forget Wimbledon. If you are a Queenslander, it's Christmas and New Years all rolled into one on Wednesday night, as the Mighty Maroons take on the overated Cockroaches in a decider in Mexican heartland.

The Herston Hoods will be viewing the match from the comfort of their own home followed by a Victory Party. All Mutant Canetoads and Cockroaches are most welcome.

Recently I had a problem with the site as it went down for a while. In trying to get it running again I deleted a post about Origin posted by Isa.

Sorry Isa. Please keep posting.

Hope to see as many mutants as possible.

Go the Mighty Maroons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUEENSLANDER!!!!!

Words to describe it were hard to find and perhaps one of the beaten brigade - Blues prop Willie Mason - summed it up best when he said, in sheer disbelief: "I'm absolutely gutted. It's unbelievable. I can't believe it. That's Origin. That's Queensland. It's ridiculous."

The Maroons deserve congratulations for breathing new life into Origin, too. People had been saying the concept was under threat because NSW had dominated for so long, but the truth is that - while it may have its ups and downs - you couldn't kill it with an axe.
